OBJECTIVES and COMPETENCES

         Objectives:

  • To recognize the different types of conditional clauses;
  • To identify the conditional patterns from mixed conditional clauses;
  • To make the difference in the meaning of a sentence when IF is replaced with its alternatives;
  • To explain the topic of a sentence when IF is omitted.

 

            Competences (At the end of this lesson the students will be able to):

  • identify in a given context the types of conditional clauses;
  • explain the difference between the types of conditional clauses(concerning the fact/situation/event they express);
  • explain the use of mixed conditional clauses
  • explain the changes in the topic of a sentence when IF is omitted;
  • identify the alternatives to IF in a given context.
