Short Introduction
The main aim of this lesson is to make the student better understand the notion of Victorian Literature, in England. You will be given information about the most representatives writers belonging to Victorianism such as Th. Hardy, George Eliot, The Bronte Sisters and so forth, as well as, about their most important works written during this period. These hints will enable you to solve the later tasks.
Aims
At the end of the lesson, the student will be able to:
- identify the most relevant writers of the Victorian novel
- identify features belonging to the style of the Victorian novel
- answer some questions about each writer's main feature.
Objectives
The first objective: to familiarize the student with the subject of Victorianism;
The second objective: To give to student information about features of this current and of the novel's style of writing and its most important writers;
The third objective: to answer questions and deal with exercices based on the knowledge acquired before.
